The Headmasters

Up until 1658 the records are fairly sketchy, but it is widely accepted that the first Headmaster was Edward Pole, after whom Pole House is named.  In 1560 there is mention of a stipend being paid to a schoolmaster - Edward Pole.   Between then and 1689 we cannot be sure of exact dates and there may be some names missing.
